A Room of One's Own

 cover (Virgina Woolf's Room)

 1940s

  1950s/60s

I'm so excited to finally share this project that I did recently for Random House Spain- a special edition of A Room Of One's Own by Virginia Woolf.  The book arrived at my doorstep yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased with the result.  As an illustrator, you can sometimes be disappointed with the way something turns out in print, but this was not the case.  The book was exquisitely designed and printed (though I wish it was printed in English, because my Spanish is not so good).  The illustrations are meant to show the rooms of women writer's throughout the ages.  They span from the 20s - the 2000s,  and are interspersed throughout the chapters.

I really wish there was an english version. I know I can be superficial about books but there's a limit, people would laugh at me for buying one in spanish just for the art :D
But on the other hand, it is a beautiful book...

I live in Madrid and just saw this book on a book store here. I got so happy to actually see your work printed (I've been following your blog for quite some time now) that I had to buy the book. Even though my Spanish is not that good either. Congratulations! It really looks fantastic on paper. xoxo
