pattern books

I'm addicted to pattern books and look at them whenever I feel stuck in a rut.  These two exemplify my two cultural loves- early American folk culture, and Japanese craft culture.  "Beautiful business"  always satisfies my aesthetic.
(Early American Small Floral Patterns was a surprise gift from a friend and I purchased Modern Patterns of Japan at The Strand, during a New York trip)

my mum is addicted to them too, she has them all over her studio. her favourite one is a huge pattern book based on William Morris's designs. It's just stunning.
